1. Agreement
These terms govern the use of this website and, unless a signed contract states otherwise, the services provided by Precision Glass Solutions Inc. ("Precision Glass Solutions"). Where a signed quote, work order or contract conflicts with these terms, that document governs.
2. Quotes and estimates
- Website submissions are requests, not bookings. A quote is issued only after an on-site measurement, unless we state otherwise in writing.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue and are itemized. Prices may be revised if site conditions differ materially from those measured, or if you change the specification.
- All quoted prices are in Canadian dollars and exclusive of HST unless stated otherwise.
3. Deposits and payment
- Custom glass is fabricated to your measurements and cannot be resold. A deposit is required to release fabrication; the balance is due on completion unless credit terms are agreed in writing.
- Accepted payment methods are stated on your invoice. Overdue balances may bear interest at the rate stated on the invoice.
- Title to installed materials passes to you on payment in full.
4. Scheduling and site conditions
- Measurement takes place after finished surfaces are complete. Glass is cut to the measured condition and cannot be adjusted for later changes.
- You agree to provide safe, unobstructed access to the work area and, where applicable, parking and building access approvals.
- Installation dates are estimates. Delays caused by fabrication, supply, weather, site readiness, permits or third-party trades are not grounds for cancellation charges against us.
5. Cancellation and changes
- You may cancel at no charge before fabrication is released. After fabrication begins, deposits covering custom-cut materials are non-refundable.
- Change requests must be in writing and may affect price and schedule.
- Your statutory cancellation rights under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 — including any applicable cooling-off period for direct agreements — are not limited by these terms.
6. Warranty
- Workmanship is warranted for one year from installation against defects in installation under normal use.
- Glass and hardware carry the manufacturer's warranty, which we will register and administer on your behalf.
- The warranty excludes damage from impact, misuse, abrasive or improper cleaning products, structural movement of the building, unauthorized adjustment, or normal wear such as seal and sweep replacement.
- Tempered glass may, in rare cases, break spontaneously due to nickel-sulphide inclusions. This is an inherent characteristic of tempered glass and is addressed under the applicable manufacturer's warranty where coverage exists.
7. Code and engineering
Where a project requires permits, engineered drawings or inspection, responsibility for those items will be assigned in writing in the quote. Guidance published on this website is general information and does not constitute a design, a code determination, or professional engineering advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, our total liability arising out of the services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit or loss of use. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Website content and intellectual property
All photography, video, text and design on this website are the property of Precision Glass Solutions or used with permission, and may not be reproduced without written consent. Project imagery depicts our completed installations; results vary with site conditions and specification.
10. Accessibility
We are committed to providing services in a manner consistent with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). If you encounter a barrier on this website or need information in an alternate format, contact us and we will accommodate your request.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected through this website is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute.
