The only daily step that matters
Squeegee the glass after each use. Hard-water minerals etch into the glass surface as droplets evaporate; once etched, they cannot be wiped away. Thirty seconds of squeegeeing prevents the single most common cause of permanently cloudy shower glass.
Weekly
- Wipe glass with a 50/50 white-vinegar and distilled-water solution, then rinse and dry.
- Dry hardware — hinges, clamps and handles — with a soft microfibre cloth to protect the finish.
- Check that the door sweep and seals are intact and free of soap residue.
Never use
- Abrasive powders, scouring pads or magic-eraser style melamine sponges
- Ammonia-heavy cleaners on coated glass — they degrade hydrophobic coatings
- Acidic lime removers on brushed brass, matte black or PVD hardware
- Razor blades to scrape glass — they leave micro-scratches that trap soap film
Hardware
Frameless doors run on precision hinges. Once a year, check that hinge screws are snug and that the door still returns to the closed position on its own. If the door drifts or drags, call us — a five-minute adjustment prevents seal wear and glass-to-tile contact.
What is normal
- A slight green edge tint on clear (non low-iron) glass
- Minor variation in the tempering pattern visible in polarized sunlight
- Small water accumulation at the bottom sweep after use
