2. Legislation we follow
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), Ontario's applicable consumer protection legislation, and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) for commercial electronic messages.
3. Information we collect
- Contact details you provide: name, email address, telephone number and preferred contact method.
- Project details: property address or municipality, property type, project type and scope, timeline, budget range, preferred appointment date and window, and any notes or photographs you submit.
- Communications: records of calls, emails, text messages and quotes exchanged with you.
- Technical data: basic, non-identifying information generated when you visit our website, such as page requests and error logs, used to keep the site secure and functional.
4. Why we collect it
- To respond to your quote request and schedule an on-site measurement.
- To prepare, deliver and administer estimates, contracts, invoices and warranties.
- To perform the installation and any subsequent service or warranty work.
- To meet legal, insurance, WSIB and tax record-keeping obligations.
- Where you have given express consent, to send occasional care tips and offers. Every such message includes an unsubscribe mechanism, as required by CASL.
5. Consent
We collect personal information with your knowledge and consent. Submitting a quote request constitutes consent to be contacted about that request. Marketing consent is separate, optional, and collected through a clearly labelled opt-in checkbox. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, by contacting us at the address above.
6. Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share it only as needed to deliver your project or comply with the law, specifically with:
- Glass fabricators and hardware suppliers, limited to the measurements and specifications required to produce your order.
- Subcontracted installers and engineers engaged on your project, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers who host our website and store our records under contractual privacy and security obligations.
- Payment processors, insurers and professional advisors where required.
- Law enforcement, regulators or courts where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
7. Where information is stored
Our website form submissions are stored with a reputable cloud infrastructure provider. Data may be processed or stored on servers located outside Canada, in which case it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. We contractually require comparable protection from our providers.
8. Safeguards
We protect personal information with security measures appropriate to its sensitivity, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls limiting information to staff who need it, and secure disposal of records no longer required.
9. Retention
Quote requests that do not proceed are retained for up to 24 months. Records relating to completed projects are retained for the period required by warranty, insurance, limitation-period and tax obligations — generally seven years — after which they are securely destroyed.
10. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask that it be corrected if inaccurate, withdraw marketing consent, or ask that it be deleted where we are not legally required to retain it. We respond to written requests within 30 days at no cost in ordinary circumstances.
11. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses only the cookies and local storage strictly necessary for the site to function. We do not use advertising trackers or sell behavioural data. If we adopt analytics in the future, this policy will be updated before it is enabled.
12. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, contact us first — we take every complaint seriously and will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The revision date below reflects the most recent change. Material changes affecting how we use existing information will be communicated to affected clients.
